As soon as I did that, I was able to spot the problem: A device driver called “Intel(R) 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller” was not working.

I logged into Windows and opened the Device Manager. The causeįortunately, it transpired that plugging my keyboard into a USB 3.0 port (identified by its blue color) makes it work. Instead, I had a system that was working before (even if not optimally) and not working after. The “Reset this PC” feature promises a faster revitalization of system.

I managed to force the computer into booting Windows Recovery Environment, but to my horror, the mouse and the keyboard didn’t work there either. Windows 10 only responded to the power button. When the so-called “Reset” ended I discovered that my mouse and keyboard were not working.
